Larvae are a newborn form of insects going through the state of metamorphosis. They can cause havoc in homes and are very often more troublesome than their matured counterparts.

The adult form of the larvae usually looks totally different from its original appearance and has different bodily organs. For instance, the common house-fly starts off as a cream-colored larva which burrows into the food material on which they hatched. After four to seven days, they grow and pupate, its skin forms a case about a quarter of an inch long. Once the adult fly is fully formed, it breaks open the case and emerges as the pest we all know.
